Dall-e, to every artist, this AI is just amazing
Today, I chanced upon the glorified "bing" app and it's just spectacular! The app integrates dall-e to up your "search imagination." And by "search imagination," I mean you can search and practically find everything you imagine.
Today, I used Dall-e via bing to create some artistic imaginations. At first, I was curious to see what it would imagine so my initial prompts were short; that didn't quite cut it though. Here are some screenshots of my first prompts.
Although these visuals reflect the descriptions in the prompts, they do not accurately represent what I had imagined. Maybe these machines were not meant to imagine like us. After all, they are mechanical.
Do me a favor, close your eyes and imagine the descriptions of those prompts. Does your imagination really show what you see here? I bet not.
Those Kenyan pedestrians don’t look human. No “Nairobi culture,” no Matatus, and certainly no company branding to be seen (we have to talk about this in detail — another post)
I kept playing around with Dall-E and eventually learned that I needed long prompts to help it capture my imagination. Check out the results.
Better? I’d say yes based on the mental vizualizations I had when creating. I think Dall-e is a real piece of work. The creators of this AI have studied our minds and finally discovered what it takes to create a mechanical thinking machine. It helps you — the artist — create but beware! It doesn’t know much yet. Don’t throw those pencils and tablets away.
The next big question is: how have Dall-e creators considered ethics in their code? Follow me because that is our next post. Ciao!
